Low-Fi’s new album, “What We Are Is Secret,” is a 10 song electro/new wave album that has heart. The whole album mostly plays out with robotic chords, and is used in stark contrast with the very human vocals. All the while, the instrumentals give off a foreboding, apocalyptic feeling. While listening, you have a constant feeling that something ominous is about to happen. This is mostly evident in “Dead Disco Syndrome,” where the song maintains it’s aggressive tempo a throughout the song. All in all, I think this is a solid, uniquely built album, and would like to hear more.
